Here ye, here ye! All rise for the crowning of Stefan Larson! Mr. Ralph Lauren, innovator of the American style of clothing has decided to pass on the torch. Ralph Lauren has decided to step down as the C.E.O of his clothing empire and has named Stefan Larsson to be his succesor.
I know you guys are wondering what in the Polo pajamas is this guy thinking? Well, for the record this is jack move from the ultimate grandmaster of fashion. In recent years, revenue for Ralph Lauren’s Polo brand has droped at least 5.3 percent in a luxury market that is super steep. As an retail executive, Stefan Larsson, is known for reviving popular brands such as Old Navy and H&M. Despite these brands being budget markets, Mr. Lauren feels Larsson’s expertise can help his already reputable brand shine brighter on Wall Street. Initially a skeptic, Lauren now sees something in him and believes Larsson has what it takes to help manage his royal empire.
No one should be alarmed, as Mr. Lauren will continue to play a major role in the company. Mr. Lauren is one of few classic American designers who have stepped back and allowed other creative directors to help revamp their brand, including Donna Karen and Calvin Klein.
Lauren considers the new business relationship as more of a partnership thsn anything. In fact partnerships can a good thing in fashion. Think of the late Yves Saint Laurant and Pierre Berdgé or Klein and Schwartz. For those less fashion savvy, just imagine Shaq and Kobe, Sonny and Cher, Michael and Scottie. All three pairs rose to the top of their professions and took it to the next level. I foresee big things to come, so hold on to your Western style polos and khaki pants and lets see what Lauren and Larsson have up their sleeves.
Dress how you want to feel
She’s a queen to be! I had to take it back to Coming to America on y’all. There isn’t anything like a union between two souls, especially two beautiful people who happen to be related to me. I had such a blast at my cousin Tisah’s wedding. Between my little cousins killing the Nae Nae dance at the reception and Darwin pulling the garter from my cousin’s leg, this occasion tops list for the year. It is always good to catch up with family without it being at someone’s funeral.
I must say the colors of the wedding were a great choice for the summer season. Teal and Coral brings a sweet vibrant feel to the ceremony. The grey and coral of the groomsmen attires were a breath of fresh air in comparison to the traditional black and white. Of course how could I forget my cousin Tisah in her gorgeous gown? A trumpet silhouette satin piece embellished with silver beading was just so appropriate for such a beautiful bride.
Now don’t forget a party is not a party until your boy comes through! I had to hit them with the white blazer exclusively from Express, which was a steal for only $38. It really set off my red plaid button down, paired with my navy slacks, brought the outfit together nicely.
Boy can’t wait until the next wedding! just as long its not mine lol. In the meantime we will wish Tisah and Darwin the best as they encounter the next journey together!
Did you guys miss me? Sorry I been on a cruise, the Dior Cruise 2016 that is! Ok that was for play play but when I heard about this spectacular event last night I had to feast my eyes on Raf Simons latest runway ensemble. From the low heels and the vibrant metallic purses all the way to the crystal-strewn floral embellished dresses laced with net over garments, this show had everyone in awe. The show was featured at the Palais Bulkes (Bubble Palace) in Cannes, France, home of world famous designer, Pierre Cardin. This extraordinary piece of architecture was inspiration for the Simons Cruise show collection. One day I will buy the palace from him, but um I need to sell a little more designs. Check out more of the designs on style.com. Peace, love, and sewing machine grease ✌
…..uhh sorry lol

Yellow is known to spark creativity. So it is no secret that this season its incorporated in various fall/winter lines as the color and of choice. Whether its coat linings, scarves, or chiffon dresses; yellow serves as a muse for warmth and spunk for the cold season. So rise and shine, get inspired, and drink some lemonade and add some brightness to your post winter wardrobe.
In the words of MC Lyte, hot damn hoe, here we go again! Compared to the VMAs, the Golden Globe Awards were like Paris fashion week. Although, you shouldn’t fear, crummy red carpet attires are here. What better way to show these disaster pieces than to bring back Match and Bash. See if you could guess what inspiration mirrors which diva and write it in the comments.
Club Monaco has landed in the U.S. and partnered up with Lotuff Brand to come up with a supreme collection of men’s leather bags. Oh and lets not forget their classic leather Duffle Travel Bag which has a detachable strap and elongated zipper for easy access, you know for those “rush into work mornings.” Check out more Club Monaco goodies at:
